Brendan M. Shortell
Brendan Shortell focuses on trademark, domain name, and copyright litigation; domestic and international trademark prosecution and disputes; and client counseling.
Mr. Shortell also counsels clients on trademark enforcement strategies in the U.S. and around the world and routinely renders trademark clearance, infringement, dilution, and other opinions regarding the selection, adoption, registration, use, licensing and maintenance of trademarks. In addition, Mr. Shortell has negotiated and drafted numerous trademark and copyright settlement agreements, licenses and assignments.
Additionally, Mr. Shortell handles patent novelty searches as well as various aspects of design patent prosecution.
Highlights
Throughout law school, Mr. Shortell worked as a trademark law clerk/summer associate, gaining significant experience in intellectual property-related matters, with a focus on trademarks.
